Ask an Artist began as fleeting thoughts about what kind of content we could create while we are under the MCO, what we can learn from each other, how to help those who have lost work, help to fulfil peoples' need for some semblance of socialising, keep hope alive, and to keep on keeping on.

Essentially it was a series of informal interactive chats with arts practitioners who shared their journey and craft with an online audience. Audiences asked the artists any question they had about their work, their journey, how they began, the challenges they faced over their career, etc.

Season 1 of Ask an Artist featured Shamaine Othman, Nadia Aqilah, Khairi Anwar, Joyce Tay, and Iefiz Alaudin.
